Demo Day is Undaunted’s flagship event. Our climate innovation community comes together to celebrate the latest cohort as they graduate from our unique accelerator programme, The Greenhouse, pouring what they’ve learnt over the past 12 months into impressive pitches to investors.

What is Demo Day?

Demo Day is a fantastic opportunity to take a break from the laptop and spend an afternoon exploring climate innovation. As well as meeting inspiring founders who are designing intelligent solutions to the climate crisis, you’ll hear from leaders in the field of innovation and investment who’ll share insights on timely topics and have plenty of time to tap into Imperial’s thriving ecosystem over drinks and nibbles.

The Greenhouse supports early-stage deeptech, fintech, cleantech startups to get investor-ready, boost their commercial success, and tackle climate change. Startups aim to raise minimum £100k by the end of the 12-month programme. Demo Day is where these talented founders pour the expertise and skills honed on the programme into impressive pitches. Tera Mira (formerly Saol Nua)

Rethinking stretch textiles from nature's perspective: Developing a revolutionary bio-based, biodegradable alternative to synthetic elastane by transforming invasive seaweed into high-performance stretch fibers.



Sealeo is on a mission to eliminate waste in the pharmaceutical industry by revolutionizing last-mile vaccine delivery. Sealeo offers a novel packaging material designed to keep vaccines cold passively, effectively, and affordably.



Circular economy

Seasprout

Seasprout is on a mission to make waste a thing of the past. We convert shrimp shell waste into biodegradable products for the horticulture and agriculture industry by replacing HDPE plastic while fostering sustainable fishing communities.



Sequinova

Our sequin materials are biodegradable. Made from cellulose, they are plastic-free, metal-free, mineral-free and non-toxic, meaning that they leave no residue as they return to nature at the end of their product lifecycle. Biodegradable sequin textiles and glitter at scale. Disrupting a $15billion industry. We're putting the shine back into sparkle.



Sustainable fashion

Ventrix

Scaling direct air carbon capture through existing building infrastructures. Ventrix is a new modular Direct Air Capture (DAC) product to be integrated and scaled to commercial buildings. It offers businesses low operating costs to reduce carbon emissions on-site and progress with their net-zero targets with a financially and environmentally viable solution.



Biofonic

Biofonic is accelerating net-zero agricultural transitions via novel acoustic technologies and AI. Developed in 2022, our acoustic sensors are designed with farmers and have been tested across the UK. Biofonic is designed to fit any size and type of operation, creating accessible, autonomous pest management solutions while unearthing new intelligence about our least understood and most biodiverse ecosystem - soil.



Aiming to verify the removal of over one million tonnes of carbon dioxide by 2030 using biochar production and sequestration technology. A local, circular, 'Made in the UK' Carbon Removal turnkey solution with value added benefits to regenerate soil, mitigate greenhouse gas pollution, water retention and heat.



Deep Blue BioTech is a pioneering company utilizing synthetic biology and AI to decarbonize everyday chemicals, offering a crucial solution to combat the climate crisis.

Fidata

Fidata is an innovative start-up that deploys AI to accelerate ESG investments for financial institutions. Our solution enables financial institutions to effortlessly perform high-quality ESG assessments on investments (bonds, loans and equities) and achieve accurate financial insights such as ESG risks and carbon-adjusted returns on investments (CROI).



Digital solutions

HUID

HUID is on a mission to reduce our single waste plastic consumption, by exploring the potential of onion skins. Utilizing the vast amounts of Allium waste we generate globally, HUID aims to create various material applications that are better for the planet.



In the Air Tech

Recyclable pollution absorbing ceramics. "In the Air" is a circular product-based service that combats passive air pollution by producing recyclable pollution-absorbing ceramics. Sold as three different everyday products, they seamlessly assimilate into various markets.



Mechapres

Mechapres is a high-temperature heat pump coupled with thermal storage. Our solution takes advantage of intermittent low-temperature heat such as solar and waste heat to produce steam for industrial applications. The modular design, high-efficiency compressor, and unique thermal storage make our system easy to integrate into any production process.


